What is The National Lottery’s Team GB Homecoming?
- A live event, staged at the AO Arena Manchester on 17th August 2024, which will bring together the worlds of music, entertainment and sport, to celebrate your support of our Olympians on their return home from Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
- It is being staged by The National Lottery and Team GB as a thank you to National Lottery players for the funding they have contributed to our athletes. The National Lottery will also stage a Homecoming event for our Paralympians on 12th September at the Utilita Arena Birmingham.
When is the event taking place?
- The National Lottery’s Team GB Homecoming is on Saturday 17th August 2024.
- Doors will open at 6.00pm. Please allow sufficient time to go through venue security.
- Attendees must be seated by 7.15pm as the event is being filmed. The event will start at 7.30pm and finish at approximately 9.00pm. There will be no interval, and no readmission will be permitted during the event. It may not be suitable for very young children.
- Any attendees arriving after 7.15pm may not be admitted or may be reseated. This means that your seats may differ from those confirmed on your ticket(s).
Will the event be televised?
- Although this event is not a live broadcast, the event will be filmed and televised. Broadcast details will be confirmed nearer to the event date.

How do I get tickets to the event?
- As a big THANK YOU for the funding that National Lottery players help raise for Team GB athletes, all tickets are FREE (subject to a £2 booking fee per ticket) and there are 3,000 pairs, to be won via a ballot.
- To enter all you’ll need is a ticket for any draw-based game taking place between 17th and 31st July, or a scratchcard bought or online instant win played between that period, and then visit the website to enter. The ballot closes on the 31st July. For more detail on the games please see the T's & C's.
Why is there a booking fee?
- The booking fee is payable to Ticketmaster and meets the cost of administering the ticket through the ticketing and box office process.
Can I buy Homecoming tickets directly from The AO Arena?
- No, tickets to the Homecoming events cannot be bought from the venue.
Where do I find the game number required to enter the ballot?

- Simply enter the email address you submitted on the form and we'll provide you with the link.
Why are public tickets only available to National Lottery players?
- The events are being staged by The National Lottery and Team GB to thank National Lottery players for supporting our athletes.
When do the ballots open and close?
- Ballot opens - 17th July
- Ballot closes - 31st July
How many times can I enter?
- You can only make one entry per event, and each entry must be accompanied by a different game number from a National Lottery game.
How will I be notified if I’ve won and how do I claim my tickets?
- The ballot for the Team GB Homecoming will be drawn on 1st August and you’ll get an email later that day if you’ve won a pair of tickets. You’ll be able to book tickets from 10.00 on 2nd August until 23.59 on 5th August.
Are all tickets seated?
- Yes this is a fully seated event.
I don’t have a smartphone – how can I access my tickets?
- If you do not have a smartphone you can transfer the tickets to someone in your group coming to the event who has a smartphone. Please see here for more information.
Can I sell the tickets or transfer them to someone else?
- The tickets are not for resale, however, they can be passed on to anyone else if you cannot use them as long as at least one person is over 18. Please note, you may be asked for ID for proof of age.
- Tickets that appear and/are purchased on resale sites will be invalidated.
What if I can no longer attend Homecoming?
- If you have received your ticket/s but can no longer attend, please contact message the Ticketmaster Customer Services Team who will arrange for your tickets to be cancelled. You will receive a refund on your booking fee

What are the ticket age limits?
- You have to be over 18 to enter The National Lottery’s Homecoming ballot, however you can bring a person of any age age as your guest.
- If you want to pass your pair of tickets on, one of the pair must be 18+, so there are no people aged 17 or under attending without an adult aged 18+.
- Every person attending a Homecoming event needs a ticket.
- Large concert events are not generally suitable environments for small children.
- You may be asked to verify your age with photo ID.

How do I get to the venue and what facilities are available?

Can I bring my own food and drink into the venue?
- No food or drink items can be taken into the venue. Only food and drink items purchased on the premises may be consumed in the AO Arena.
- If you have any specific dietary or medical requirements, please speak to a steward at the door upon arrival and contact us in advance of your visit if you have any questions.
Can I smoke in the venue?
- No, the venue does not have any smoking areas.
Can I bring my bag into the venue?
- Please keep personal belongings to a minimum. One small bag per person is permitted, note that shopping bags, backpacks, travel cases, laptop bags and large tote bags are not permitted inside the arena.
- There are no storage facilities at the venue and the venue is not responsible for late admission or non-admission due to failure to comply.
- The bag size limits are as follows:
- All bags larger than 30cm wide x 40cm long x 20cm deep (approx. A3 sized) are strictly prohibited.
- Backpacks are not permitted and there is no facility to store prohibited items.
- Bags that can be worn on the back must not exceed 30cm wide x 20cm long x 20cm deep (approx. A4 sized).
